(Lake City, FL – June 28, 2026) – Knoxville, Tennessee’s Hayden Cardwell added another major victory to his growing résumé Saturday night, capturing the 6th Annual Harvey Jones Memorial at All-Tech Raceway and collecting the $10,000 top prize in Rogers-Dabbs Performance Parts Crate Racin’ USA Dirt Late Model Series competition.
The event honored Georgia Racing Hall of Fame member Harvey Jones, whose racing career began in 1949 and whose legacy continues to impact short track racing throughout the Southeast.
Cardwell’s victory came in front of a strong field of 32 competitors and marked his first series win of the 2026 season. The Tennessee driver patiently worked his way through the field before overtaking race-long contender Joseph Brown on lap 29 and driving away to a convincing victory in the 50-lap feature.
The win was worth $10,000 and served as another impressive All-Tech Raceway triumph for Cardwell, who also captured the prestigious Powell Family Memorial at the Florida facility last fall.
“This is the best I’ve ever seen this place,” Cardwell said in Victory Lane. “We could really run all over it. We had a good car. I think some of those guys went too hard, too early. I was just trying to ride. I love this place. I wish we could come back every week.”
Four-time Harvey Jones Memorial top-finisher Mark Whitener paced the opening nine laps before Joseph Brown took command on lap-10. Brown appeared poised to extend his championship points lead as he controlled much of the middle portion of the event, leading laps 10-23 and again from laps 25-28.
Cardwell, however, remained patient and methodical. Once he found his opening on lap 29, he surged into the lead and never relinquished it, crossing the finish line 2.831 seconds ahead of Brown.
Brown settled for second after another strong performance that allowed him to continue building on his championship advantage.
Gaffney, SC driver Layton Sullivan completed the podium in third after a consistent run throughout the feature.
Former Harvey Jones Memorial winner Mark Whitener came home fourth, while Lincolnton, North Carolina’s John Ruggiero Jr. earned Hard Charger honors after advancing from the 16th starting position to finish fifth.
